I was born on April 24, 1971 in the city of Tabriz, in northwestern Iran.
At the age of 13, I lost my father in an accident, and since I was the eldest child in the family, I had to work while studying. But at the age of 15, after watching an Iranian film, I became very interested in cinema and turned my entire focus to cinema. As a result, my school grades dropped dramatically. But at the age of 17, after making my first 8mm short film, I an award-winning camera, and this is my best memory of that time.
Later, in order to be able to manage my life and that of my family, I had to work with Iranian television, where I directed and produced a number of television programs.
Now I have an advertising company and I make advertising films for economic institutions and factories and I make short films from the money I earn this way.
I am married and have an 18-year-old daughter who works in music and is a pianist.
