Alberto Ramirez is a Los Angeles based author, screenwriter and filmmaker. He was born in East Los Angeles and graduated from UCLA with a degree in English Literature. His works include the novel, Everything That Could Not Happen Will Happen Now (Floricanto & Berkeley Presses 2016), a Las Comadres & Friends National Latino Book Club selection, short stories which have appeared in Westwind Journal of the Arts, Angel City Review, Somos En Escrito: The Latino Literary Online Magazine, Stain'd Magazine and Gertrude Press as well as five short films, Punch Box (2019), Penology (2019), The Tent (2020), Under the Tumtum Tree (2021) and Liberty Beat Your Drum! (2021).
