Located in the bustling city of London, United Knigdom, the Global Screen Award International Film Festival is a unique event that brings together filmmakers from all over the world. With its mix of international and independent movies and its commitment to showcasing diverse cultures, this festival has become an important venue for film lovers.
The selection committee of the Global Screen Award International Film Festival has done an outstanding job selecting great films from all over the globe. All genres are represented here – drama, comedy, romance, horror and more – making it impossible not to find something you’ll love. In addition to traditional narrative features and short films there are also innovative works such as interactive installations and live performances which add another layer of excitement to the programming lineup each year.
Main event happens at Kino Bermondsey on September 29 -October 2 each year. It includes Afterparites and Q&A with filmmakers.
The program at Global Screen Awards International Film Festival strives towards creating a space where different voices can be heard through cinema by giving visibility to lesser known stories or new perspectives on familiar topics as well as providing an opportunity for dialogue between filmmakers who have come from all corners of the world with very different backgrounds but share their passion for filmmaking. One example is “Artists in Exile” which focuses on documentary projects made by refugees around Europe who tell their own stories using video cameras they received upon arriving in Germany during 2015-2016 refugee crisis; these videos were then compiled into a single feature film that was shown at GSAIFF 2021 edition as part of official competition.
