The Shenganiguns - a dysfunctional, fictional rock band from near-future Kenya - was created in 2015 by Mildred Achoch (founder of Rock 'n' Roll Film Festival, Kenya). The rock melodies of The Shenganiguns are the guns they use to fight and speak out against the ills plaguing Kenyan society, number one being corruption. This Kenyan band's shenanigans (silly or high-spirited behaviour) are the camouflage they use to hide their shrewd and analytical minds, minds that are determined to expose the shenanigans (secret or dishonest activity or manouvering) of the powers-that-be in Kenyan society.
