Poltu “THE RICKSHAWALA” is very poor but very helpful & kind hearted. One fine day he was quite depressed due to lack of passengers, he was expressing his poor & help less situation to one of his friend “SHAYAMAL”, Shayamal is a tapir tea seller also has having a small business of catering, suddenly “Poltu” realized that today is his first marriage anniversary but due to lack of money unable to celebrate, he has only Rs. 500 at his home as saving so he decided to but a sari for his wife & same he was discussing with Shayamal, in the mean time a stranger came to them to inform one of their common friend’s (POTA) mother is hospitalized and need lots of money for operation.
Shayamal said he has Rs.2000, Poltu also decided to give his last saving Rs. 500 with which he wanted to buy a sari for his wife to gift her for their first marriage anniversary. Poltu & Shayamal leave for home to get ready & go to hospital.
Poltu had his lunch with his wife very happily and was in search of the Rs. 500, but he realized it is not there where he kept, he called his wife & asked for the money very anxiously, she said today “POTA’S” wife came to her for asking help as her mother in law is hospitalized and need lots of money for operation so she gave the last saving of Rs. 500 to Pota’s wife, very sacredly wife informed the same to Poltu. Poltu smiled & hugged her with lots of love.

Ajitava Barat As Director directed Feature films , documentaries and shorts. He is also a Story writer, Singer and film critic. He authored several short stories.
