ASHA
( INDIAN TRIBAL LANGUAGE - ' SANTALI ' with English Subtitle )
Asha was born into a poor Santali tribal family. Her mother never loved her because of her handicap from birth. Her mother used to treat her daughter unfairly as a cause of financial hardship at home. she has been a disrespectful person since childhood. No one took care of her because she was disabled. But there is a creative ability hidden in her. She tries to express the latent art consciousness in different ways. After that, someone like that comes into her life and with her help, she becomes a great artist ... one other side Asha's Mother loved her brother.
Asha's mother always takes care of her son. That way the boy will do something by studying in the future. But what will happen, that is to see now?
Asha is a symbol of people with disabilities or social backwardness.

Director's Statement

We always see a kind of neglect mentality in society with disabilities. Many people do not think that people with disabilities can do anything in society. Every human being has creative abilities. If a person with a real disability gets a full opportunity, he can one day show that he is a creative person. And no less than healthy people. Asha is a girl with a congenital disability, her family knew about her disability but her mother never understood her ability. In society, girls still grow up with disrespect. It is a crime to be born a girl and if that girl is disabled then her sad days are not over. Many people have the idea that people with disabilities cannot or will not do anything. My picture is against the mentality of those people. To be a full-fledged tree, it needs as much light and air as the soil needs to bear fruit. Just like a human being needs such an environment to grow and express creativity.
The first Santali ( Indian Indigenous Language ) film that brings out the societal norms of dealing with a specially-abled child. The story is about a tribal girl who despite a lot of giving in to her, makes it big in the artistic world.
''Physically disability is not a barrier, but a parochial mind is always a constraint ''...
