Director's Biography
Ricardo Silva Ortega Independent filmmaker, he found his passion in the cinema in 2011, acting in Homofobia, from there he began to produce, in 2014 he began to collaborate in the Cine Colectivo Guanajuato (CCG), since then he has been part of the organizing committee of the LabKinoRoom, has taken online Documentary Film workshops, Multimedia Tools for Audiovisual Creation, at the Center for the Arts of the State of Guanajuato (CEARG), Photography for Film at CEARG with Teachers from the Luis Buñuel Film School, and Scriptwriting and Production in collaboration with the Cinematographic Training Center (CCC), he has given workshops on Cinema in Communities, and has been coordinator of Polos Virtuales Guanajuato for the Mexican Institute of Cinematography (IMCINE) has participated in more than 80 short films, and 4 feature films, which he has also co-written. As a director he has directed the experimental dance short "Insight" in 2014, in 2017 in Valparaíso Chile "Reencuentro", in 2019 "I want to be a Drag Queen",
He has been in charge of the distribution of several of the shorts where he has participated, and they have been selected in national and international festivals, and some of them have won, last year he was part of the organizing committee of the Collective Film Festival, being the main curator from the same that received more than 950 applications internationally, from 75 countries, as well as from the BJX Bajío International Film Festival of which he was the first curator.
