Director's Statement
Fujiyama was a treat to create and direct. My team was amazing. Everyone brought their A game to the set and in post production. I could not have asked for a better result. This film was made in 4 weeks in February of 2020 just before the pandemic was in full swing in the U.S. It was supposed to screen live in Cincinnati on April 5, 2020. However, lockdowns prevented that premiere. This film had its first public showing at the LIAFF festival in Kolkata, West Bengal India on August 25, 2020. It won Best Science Fiction there and on January 9, 2021 Winterfilm finally did do an online screening of it. It also won Visual FX and Best Costume at Winterfilm here local to my area. So far this is my best produced and directed project. The goal is to make each film even better than the last. Here's to future projects.
