Autumn 2017.
The world of international theater and film is undergoing an irreversible transformation.
The situation is the same in Hungary. The old answers are no longer valid for the new questions.
But of course, there are, stories that are unchangeable.
Because a young actor always, and everywhere wants success. Wherever he lives.
What is the prize of it? Is that worth the price? And what happens if you make a bad decision,
and the consequences can no longer be reversed?
Is there a price for the soul? If so, who sets that price?
Can we control our desires? Or are we forced to acknowledge that our desires guide us?
Where is the limit of the power situation? How far does it take as game, and where from does abuse
a single move?
Is it possible to react correctly in a bottom situation professionally and emotionally?
Something happened on the night of the premier banquet that shouldn't have happened.
Then the actor’s career starts. But what happens if the wind of an American movie mogul's scandal
sweeps away the man on whom the protagonist depends in every way.
What if nothing can happen the way it did before. Who has a harder time? To the one who leaves,
or to the others who stay? How broken is a person’s self-esteem in a situation like this?
What happens (freely after Greenaway) to the actor, the director, his wife and her lover?
What else can a relationship survive? And what is the way surviving professionally?
Does a morally failed artist have the right to create?
Is the formula as simple as it first seems? After all, the abuse of power is sin.
It is sexual, or any kind of abuse. The victim is to blame as well. But it is also
raises questions that today anyone can be destroyed morally by a single sentence.
And what would Johann Wolfgang von Goethe say for these things? He would probably laugh.
After all, it’s a lot of fun to see (despite technical progress on the one hand and emotional emptiness
on the other) the fundamental issues have not changed in the last two hundred years at all.
