THE WAR FOR ODIN’S BLOODLINE

Where there were three mortal bloodlines of Odin, only one remains. Since their discovery, they have been hunted by those gods who call the mixing of divine blood with that of mortals an abomination. Over the centuries, Odin, and the gods of the Aesir, have hidden the last pure mortal line of Odin in the heart of Scandinavia, kept secret through orphans. You cannot kill that which you do not know.

For centuries, Hel, the Goddess of Niflheim, has harbored disgust for Odin’s mortal kin and has sought its extinction. Until now, it has been a surreptitious war fought behind the veil of the gods. This time, the rules have changed.

Hel grows bold as she seeks the end of Odin’s kin on Earth. With her minion Aslaug, she sends her riders, Phantoms on horses, as her eyes to watch and terrorize. She wields the kingdoms of men to the North as pawns and secretly plans for the demise of Odin’s last mortal kin. She will stop at nothing to kill the only remaining bloodline, but he hides what she seeks. The war for the blood of Odin, is just beginning.

DANE: THE LAST BLOODLINE OF ODIN

It’s 55 BC, and the gods have not been seen for generations. Dane, great war hero and lord of the southern lands, is the patriarch of Odin’s bloodline. However, those who possess the blood are not aware of it. This is a time where very few believe in the gods, ironically, Dane least of all. The Great Wars have ended, and Dane celebrates three years of peace with his four daughters: Hanna, the twins Thea and Brea and Jorunn. Dane has long since put his battle axe away after twenty years of war and is unaware of the malice that grows in his lands. His fear of war so intense, it blinds him for all he ever wanted was to be a father.

The threat escalates, villages are attacked, orphans are murdered, and Hel’s Phantom Riders scour the lands terrorizing the people as they look for any orphan who may be of the bloodline. Dane is in denial and his eldest daughter, Hanna, must fill his void. Superstition finds its way into the villages with talk of curses and fever. Dane still believes there can be a world without war. What he does not know it is his family who are the ones who will be hunted, as well as the son he does not know, Lukas, believed to be stillborn and taken by Thrud many years ago. The stakes increase as Hel and her minions grow bolder and close in on Odin’s last mortal bloodline!

The first season sees Dane and his family faced with the realization that war may be upon them once again. Death, murder, and intimidation escalate throughout the season. Through it all, Dane suffers from the loss of his wife, Cristin, who died giving birth to their sixth child over twenty years ago. Dane’s love for Cristin only grows with time. A love so strong, it survives the grave. It is the one thing that Dane will never find solace for. The love between Dane and Cristin will be more important to the events to come than anyone realizes.

Odin knows nothing can be won if there is no struggle to achieve it, but he will not leave his mortal kin alone with all of Niflheim hunting it. Dane and his family embark on a future they had never expected. Hel has underestimated one thing, the ferocity at which the bloodline will fight for its survival.
