LUCID is a trip, a journey between dreaming and painting. Vibrant
drawings and paintings arising out of the artist’s subconscious
surfacing in a rapid continuum; archetypal images emerging from the
depths of dreams and emotions; and flashes and slivers of time are
animated in a sweeping, spiral movement. The sensation of
three-dimensionality is intensified by a “twilight zone”-like sound
track, taking viewers on a dive into the magical sound of colors.
The film was chosen to the New York Psychedelic Film and Music Festival 2021.

Michael Ben Abu (b. 1959, Israel) is a multidisciplinary artist and a
poet living and working in Tel Aviv, Israel. He has a varied
background including agricultural sciences and clairvoyant meditation.
He graduated B. of Fine Arts at Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem,
Israel in 2015.
