Director's Biography

I describe myself as artist, feminist and creator of narratives, making poetry with images is the focus of my work. I am actress with undergraduate degree in Performing Arts from Martins Pena Theater School and a bachelor degree for Theater Director from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). I worked as an art educator in museums, where I developed a special look at the plastic arts and all the creative possibilities for its interpretation and dissemination. From 2014 onwards, I migrated to film and photography. I am the director of the music video "Bagana", by the band Biltre, released on Youtube, and the video dance "Malandro", by dancer Laryssa França and with music by Nicholas Krassik, still touring festivals of the genre. In 2018, I presented the video art "Seu corpo não te define" (Your body does not define you) and started a research on the narratives of the body politics. The research that seeks to recreate new stories for people who have already faced prejudice, violence and discrimination due to socio-cultural experiences.

Director's Statement
