Director's Biography
UK-based Ignatius Rake is the only foreign artist to win two
awards at the annual Unco Film Festival in Tokyo, Japan.
Originally an analogue collage artist, he today creates
digital artworks using the same cut-and-paste principles but
employing modern technology to produce images that
disconcertingly blend photographic realism with the
physiologically impossible. In animating these chimera to
music, he jumps from the Cliff of Repulsion into the Uncanny
Valley, a world the Japanese call kimo-kawaii, or adorably

Synopsis
An animated tribute to legendary singer and 60s icon Ronnie Spector (1943-2022), this epic music video for UK soul and ska stalwart Andy Keys Clark (AKC) blasts Space-Race rocketry out to the furthest corners of the cosmos to help a lovestruck astronaut reconnect with his enigmatic lover.
Awards and Screenings
This video won the Best Music Video Award at the Vaaranam International Film Festival in Pudukottai, India (6/10/23) and came second in the Best Pop Music Video category at the Japan Indies Music Video Awards in Tokyo, Japan (17/5/23).
It has won Official Selection laurels from the following film festivals: the New Wave International Script & Film Festival, Berlin, Germany (13/11/23); the Japan Indies Film Festival, Tokyo, Japan (27/11/23); and the BonDance International Film Festival, Ureshino City, Japan (16/9/23). It has also been screened at The Flying Teapot in Ekoda, Tokyo.

Andy Keys Clark is an independent UK singer, song writer, musician and producer based in Cornwall who has worked and played with a host of big names around the planet. Although his roots are found within the genre of ska, his music encompasses a range of different styles, from retro soul to reggae and indie pop, all of which are fully incorporated into his unique sound and output.
