Director's Biography
Ava Ghahremanifar (born on October 29, 2000 - Tehran) is an independent Iranian artist (Painter, Filmmaker) based in Tehran. She is the daughter of Faramarz Ghahremanifar, a painter and stereo photographer, and Tayebeh Ebrahim, a TV and stage actress. Ava is graduated in fine arts (painting) from Tehran's Fine Arts School, and also an Iranian Youth Cinema Society (IYCS) graduate in filmmaking. She has won several national awards in painting and photography since 2016, and participated in various national group photo and painting exhibitions. At a young age, she began her career as an amateur first assistant of her father on feature films, include "Along City" and "The Thieves" where she had a small role, as well. Her first short film "The Gull's Shriek" was filmed in 2019 and completed in August 2020.
