Md. Sabbir Ahmed known as Ahmed Sabbir to his readers and audiences, a dynamic writer and filmmaker, embarked on his visual media journey in 2014, weaving a tapestry of creativity through filmmaking, writing, and digital marketing. His passion for forging connections is evident in his 2017/18 debut film, "The Rain is Forecast," which explored the lives of a marginalized Bengali Hindu community. This marked the beginning of his explorative venture into writing, where he delved into screenplays, English subtitles, and awareness campaign scripts.
Sabbir's literary prowess shines through his diverse works, such as "A Virgin Death" (2023), a feature-length film addressing mental healthcare and social awareness, and "White Shoes" (2022/2023), a short film supported by the Embassy of the Netherlands. His commitment to positive societal change is reflected in "He She or Them" (2022), a short film advocating mental health awareness, and "Kamalibala Devi 3D" (2021/22), a historical fantasy film about empowering woman in mid-19th century Bengal.
Sabbir's multifaceted contributions extend beyond filmmaking and writing. He served as a director for social awareness campaigns, including "Speech for Peace," combating bullying through audiovisual content. His role as an art director, storyboard artist, and translator further showcases his versatile talents.
