Director's Statement
Hollywood, more than often, portray young adults drinking and partying as reckless terrible life decisions. I can’t help to think of the filmmakers drinking and partying celebrating the successes of those films. Can we show the brighter side of alcohol consumption without all the guilt and tragedy in cinema? These are the days I have lived.
Ready for an eerie ride? This no-budget film portrays young adults in the thick of those themes. A coming of age film telling an unconventional love story revolving around the sure bliss of good times or how ominous it may appear. These characters dwell over decisions made during what I believe is the most transformative years of your life; Middle School years.
Apples, Oranges, Lemons & Limes is my modern take on French New Wave and Neo-Noir cinema. It’s a genre-bender filled with elements of Drama, Romance, Suspense, Comedy, Mystery and Thrills. Directly inspired by many greats in the business, I wanted to achieve a truly psychological and thought-provoking film leaving the viewer with fascination over their own life choices and challenge what a young actor can achieve on screen. I am very proud of this film.
