Director's Biography
Hernán Velit: Director in Kubrick any story any media.
Was Born in Lima, Perú studied advertising at Peruvian Advertising
Institute (IPP) and work in advertising agencies of Lima.
In 2010 starts as assistant director in cinema and advertising.
Posthumous, his opera prima as director and screenplayer, produced in
2012 was winner of Best short film in Profire short film festival of Edimburgo 2013 and official selection in several festivals.
Late in 2012 work as assistant director in “El Mudo” second movie of
Daniel and Diego Vega (winners in cannes 2010 of jury prize un certain
regard with “Octubre”).
His second short film “La huida silenciosa” co-directed with Jose Carlos
García was premiere in 37 Festival de Cine Latinoamericano de La Habana in 2015 and winner of the Concurso Nacional de Cortometrajes del Ministerio Peruano de Cultura 2016.
"El monopolio de la estupidez" his last short film it was premiered at Kannibal Fest in Berlin.
