I wanted to make this film in black & white because it represents the dark, dull and dirty/unhygienic life of homeless beggar women. But menstruation bleeding they still have to deal with while sleeping on roads. I shot for days and months through out the whole year to capture extreme summers and winters in different cities of India. There are lot of films being made on menstruation but nobody cares about beggar women how they deal with their periods living on streets. They deal with usually hardship like hunger on top of it personal hygiene and periods nothing can be so hard and harsh on being a woman. Its very easy to say that we will rather be clean than being full but bhooke pet bajan bhi nahi hote----to saaf safai kaha se, means-Culture of cleanliness is nothing in front of hunger. Nothing is bigger than hunger. Hunger is the prime center of all living beings on this planet. PERIOD.

Along with acting and anchoring I have the passion & unique talent for writing & directing films. My first Short Film- "ROCKING MY ROCKSTAR JEANS“ (MERI ROCKSTAR WALI JEANS) on child abuse won many National and International Film Awards and now presenting my second short docu - FEED OR BLEED INDIA. I think I am a born writer-director. I make contemporary content based shorts for social awareness because I believe in the power of Pen and impact of Cinema.
