Director's Biography
Vahan Bedelian is an Armenian American filmmaker from Irvine, California. He began his career making documentaries on martial artists and has created commercial content for clients such as Top Rank Boxing, UFC, and FightersRep Kickboxing. His career eventually led him to attend graduate film school at Loyola Marymount University, from which he graduated in May of 2022.
In much of his work, he draws on a background in post-production, visual effects, and production design to build narrative worlds that expand reality. He often combines this world-building with scenes that grapple with the way violence is portrayed on screen.
Director's Statement
My goal with this film was to explore the relationships we form with the things in our lives. We all have had cars we've named, computers we've yelled at, or cameras we've talked to. Fitz takes this idea and further complicates it by adding AI. My hope is that people will watch this film and feel genuine empathy for Fitz.
