Director's Statement
Women in third world countries and especially in middle-eastern countries play an important role in dealing with life hardships. They work hard outside the house, constantly dealing with the unkindness of a patriarchal society. Nevertheless, not only they do not let the hardship break them but also they try to take their loved ones under their wings and protect them.
Afghan women are unique in this regard. Their existence has been endlessly shadowed by the ongoing wars. Even though some have escaped from war, it seems that the ugliness of war continues to follow them.
