Director's Statement
Dear friends,
I am pleased to present to you our documentary film "Invisible Life". This film offers a unique glimpse into the daily lives of five visually impaired individuals, showcasing a world that is vastly different from our own. It sheds light on the invisible life that both the characters in the film and many of us, who are unaware of this existence, lead.
"Invisible Life" is not accompanied by a voiceover that explains the events unfolding on the screen. Instead, it is an observational film that invites the audience to become active participants in this journey, allowing them to discover reflections of their own lives.
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that shortly before the completion of this film, the youngest protagonist, whose life this documentary is dedicated to, passed away. His story serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility and resilience of the human spirit.
I hope that "Invisible Life" will not only entertain and educate, but also inspire empathy and understanding among its viewers. May this film serve as a catalyst for conversations and reflections on the invisible aspects of life that often go unnoticed.
Thank you for your attention, and I look forward to sharing this extraordinary cinematic experience with all of you.
Warm regards,
Mark Krol
