Consequence KARMA is the story of a determined woman, KUSUM who is a true believer of God. Although her husband left her five years ago, she still wishes to reconcile with him and for that, she vowed to conduct the Ram-Navami Pooja (prayer service ritual) every year for five years.
But! The day of fifth Pooja ceremony falls during the time of Pandemic Lockdown.
Things get strained and Kusum grows desperate to find a priest during such a difficult time of Lockdown.
In this desperation, Kusum agrees to bring a strange & peculiar PANDIT home to conduct the pooja.
The Pooja gathering is joined by four other characters URVASHI, a lecherous lady indulged in gratification; JYOTI, a non-believer of any supreme power; KARAN, a kid with no sense of higher power and SAAHIL, a drug addict who can cross any boundaries to meet his needs. Gradually, as the Pooja proceeds the true nature of each & every one is revealed and turn out to be various shades of grey. Being at the centre of the turmoil of chaos, emotion and action; the Pandit provides the direction to all this mayhem and all receive the offerings according to their Karma. Then Pandit, who is actually a mythological character from Ramayana, unveils his true identity to Kusum who embraces it with serenity. What happens next - What does the Pandit do? Does Kusum get her husband back? The answer to these questions is the twisty conclusion of the film Consequence KARMA.

Director's Biography
Shadab Ahmad is an Independent Writer-Producer-Director from India known for his Bollywood Indie Feature Film 'Consequence Karma'. A former Navigating officer on merchant ships, Shadab first made Ads and then switched to working in Bollywood. He has been associated with a couple of interesting projects, including critically acclaimed film Nakkash.
Director's Statement
Born in a Muslim family residing in Deoband, a town known for Dar’Ul Uloom a religious University for Muslims, I had a peculiar relation with my religion as the Mythology of every religion always fascinated me a lot.
That fascination increased even more as I grew up and the interest of finding ‘the relations between various religions and the core of myths’ kept developing in me.
And when I joined the merchant Navy as Navigating Officer and worked there for a couple of years, the explorations of myths seldom took me to places & people which most of us don’t know or even comprehend could exist.
On top of that the vast mythology of My own country, India, has so many fascinating characters and their belief systems that gave me such a wonderful understanding of right & wrong.
The story I am presenting is also about right & wrong and the theory of KARMA in Indian Mythology in the form of a Drama-thriller involving a Mythological character depicted in the Modern world facing the Pandemic in the year 2020.
Consequence Karma is all about doing the right thing and keeping oneself to boundaries of it whatever may be the temptation.
