Director's Biography
Paul Nyamekye says:
'It is always a joy to put together film gears to let out the creativity in me. Being a filmmaker is who I am and what I have always wanted to be'.
In the beginning ...
'I remember the very first-time handling cameras. My help was needed urgently when the camera operator in charge quit his job suddenly. I was asked to operate the camera without any prior experience and hardly able to capture the images very well, as you may understand. After that production, I devoted and dedicated my time and energy to learning camera techniques and other film gear. Even though being a video editor at the time it did not stop me achieving my goals'.
... and now.
'I am a successful filmmaker today, thanks to teamwork, vision, perception and action. Hard work as well as determination has made me who I am today. Indeed, the knowledge and experience gained over the years always gives me confidence to approach every job with the sense of professionalism in focus.
My vision.
My role as a filmmaker is to join other creative minds to construct and craft an outstanding video for the audience.
Results ...
The short films I directed include 'Mute', 'Last Laugh' and 'Trust'. It is gratifying to see your work recognized and honoured by (international) professionals in the industry.

In October 2020, for 'Trust' I was adjudged Best Director at both the Beyond The Curve International Film Festival, Paris and 4Th Dimension Independent Film Festival, Ubud, Bali Indonesia.'
