Selina Leone
Selina Assenova Dimitrova was born on September 29, 1986, in a family of scientists – her mother – Dr. Elka Yankulova is a genetician, who won the prestigious European Marie Curie Fellowship, and her father – Dr. Assen Dimitrov is a philosopher and fellow of Onassis Foundation.
Her first steps into the world of show business began in 1999 at the age of twelve. Her first footage is from the “Clip coupon” show on the National TV Channel 1.
In 2000 she began studying painting and Italian language at the Italian high school "Atanas Dalchev" in Sofia. In the same year, she won the competition Visages New Faces (organized by agency Visages Models, Sofia); she attended modelling and actor courses and worked as a model for the "Glamour” magazine.
In 2001 she lived in Patras, Greece, with her family, where she studied Fashion History. In the meantime, she started practicing yoga to model the best structure for her body.
The year 2002 she graduated "Megatalent Academy", Sofia as a model and actress.
In the period 2003 – 2005 she attended high school and studied English and French languages - (Institut Français de Sofia). She devoted herself to sport and her programme includes swimming, yoga and karate (sho-to-kan) in the course of Sensei Plamen Kavaklov.
In September, 2005 she presented her second fashion portfolio in Milan. She was chosen as a face of Revlon Professional in Cannes, France.
The year 2006 was marked with her first individual art exhibitions; the paintings are all dedicated to the modern woman.
First Individual Exibition - Gallery "Classica" Sofia, from March 7, 2006 through April 20;
Second Individual Exibition – from 21 March through 4 April, French Institute, Sofia;
One of her paintings became the cover of "Rodna Rech" magazine, May 2006.
In the same time, her paintings took part in group exhibitions:
- In the "Altera" Gallery, International Trade Center Sofia - May 18, 2006;
- Exhibition dedicated to Italian high school "Atanas Dalchev"’s 80th anniversary.
Selina also created covers for two books, and was featured in a documentary film "Art and Chaos of Ideas" presented in the "Red House", Sofia.
In 2006 she participated in fashion shows and catalogues of "Jana Jekova Style".
In September 2006, after the entrance examination, she became a student at the Academy of Fine Arts (Accademia di Belli Arti) in Florence, Italy, in the course of the famous painter and tutor, Professor Andrea Granchi.
At the end of the year she worked for Gold Waves, Wella and participated in a presentation by Aldo Cappola in Milano.
In 2006 she started working as a designer in the international European “Outside Project” and just as in 2007, the parades took place in Florence, Belgrade and Rimini.
April, 2007 – Fourth Individual Exibition in "Classica" Gallery Sofia. One of her pictures was dedicated to the 80th jubilee of His Highness Pope Benedict XVI, sent to the Vatican and accepted with a letter of thanks by Cardinal Gabriele Caccia.
In 2008, a photo of her won the National Competition of Photography, organized by BG PHOTO. The same year she presented her Fifth individual art exhibition in the town of Shabla, where she displayed portraits and paintings on textiles. She was also a member in the Jury of "Miss Shabla" and "Mini Miss Shabla."
In 2009, she is an actress, in the Bulgarian-German film production - "TILD" (in cinemas from April, 2011) and the movie thriller "Hunting small predators".
In 2010 she is "Model of Bulgaria – Tourism 2010", organized by the world famous George Koutoulias Model Agency.
In 2010 again, she is the winner of PHOTO BG competition and participated in the show "L'oreal 100 years" as a model of Laeticia Genaou and Christoff Gaye. Over again in 2010 she was chosen for television advertising to "Yoplait Yogurt" -

In 2011 she participated in the “European Championship for yoga sports” in Sofia and won the seventh place among women.
In 2011 - 2012 she realized her first charity exhibition – under the auspices of the National Ombudsman and "Tokuda" hospital. She has donated more than 50 paintings to help patients with breast cancer.
In 2013 she began studying in the National Film Academy in the course of Professor Marin Damyanov.
In the year 2014, she is an actress in the movies:

"Red boots" – produced by CineFlor and directed by Nadia Flor
"Certamente" – the first film under Selina’s own direction and dramaturgy
She also played in:
"Dream and ..." – directed by Veliana Kasheva;
"Games of chance" – directed by Nadia Flor;
"Heritage" - leading female role in an international film production (Russia, Bulgaria and Spain) by CineFlor.
Selina works both in photography and advertising. As a model she participated in Advertising Danone Bulgaria, in many catalogues, stock photography – some of her photos are in the top 10 in “Shutterstock”; many of her photos are published on calendars and join in photo exhibitions.
She has participated in many events of the Municipality of Sofia – the most recent is the Festival of the City on 17 September. She was chosen for “The face of the city”, dressed in the authentic clothes of a Bulgarian princess and greeted by the citizens. Here is a picture and link to the TV broadcast.
On September 27, she participated in the workshop – "The Master Class Production and Co-Production in Europe: Meetings to be Part of the Young European Cinema of Sofia”, in The French Institute.
Currently, Selina studies vocal practices, cinema acting, film making, classic and modern dance and plastics. She also works as a model for stock photography.
“Fish – imitator” (feature science fiction film, 2017) is her most recent fully accomplished project.

David Valverde Martinez is a filmmaker who has made himself. Expelled from the school of photography in Barcelona (the following year they exhibited pictures of me right there, as an example for the students) and without having entered any school of Cinematography, I decided to embark on this exciting journey in 1990. I have participated in many International Festivals , I had the honor of being given a Section to my name at the International Film Festival of Catalonia (Sitges Film Festival) in 2003 where I was able to present all the short films I wanted. I was in the Forum of Cultures 2004 of Barcelona with other works. At the Berlinale too. In Buenos Aires making an exhibition of Photography and Video (Esteban Lisa Foundation, year 2005), and so on ... Then came the silence. After a tough fight against the disease of pancreatitis, in 2014 I embarked on a pioneering project in northern Argentina: The Film Workshop for Children and Adolescents (I came to this country because of the crisis, although I miss my hometown: Barcelona) . In this project I try to teach Cinematography to the little ones, where pedagogy and art come together and project lots of moments of happiness, fun and ... very interesting short films! I wondered if we could enter the professional circuit of Short Film Festivals in 3 years and ... here we are! Being selected with several works of my students from 2017, and winning prizes in addition! This is paradise! As of today, Dec 2019, 2019, we have achieved 263 Official Selections and 65 Awards at International Film Festivals.
