Director's Statement
I wanted to make this film to relive my boyhood fantasies as an ardent fan of detective and adventure stories. This is a love song to my childhood and to many others like myself who refused to grow up. It's a very personal story. A story of failure as well i.e how I could not pursue my childhood dream of becoming a detective. Yes, it's a bit silly and that is why making this film was a very personal and emotional journey for me. And also, I wanted to learn how to make films. So I chose to shoot and edit the film with the friends, brothers and sister I grew up with. We are a team of non professionals who had no knowledge of film making prior to this and yet we dreamed. All I can say is watching this film might bring back your own childhood memories and all the silly fun. I repeat this is not a film to win festivals, but win hearts. And yes, this film is not a detective film.
