Born in Spain in the seventies, Antonio Souto Fraguas clearly wanted to be a filmmaker, as young as 8 years of age, and Spielberg is the one to blame.

At 25 he moved to London where he studied Film and Broadcast production at London Metropolitan University. This is where he started to make his first low-budget short films.

His first short film, Agoraphobia, is screened at a private venue, together with a few other shorts. Days later, it was very positively reviewed on some forums. This led to his first film festivals.

More than 15 short films later, and countless film festivals, Antonio moved to the US in order to increase his knowledge of storytelling. Here, he starts the most challenging period in his life, raising a family with his wife.

Despite the lack of time, he published his first novel, The Giant, in 2019, and, during the COVID-19 pandemic, he starts different projects to fill the gap of fiction, left by the lockdowns and challenging years of the pandemic. He embarks on a new adventure designing and building a new toy for kids and works on an illustrated and immersive novel for kids.

He has worked for multilateral organizations like the World Bank Group and the IDB, making countless videos for them.

He is part of the Spanish Film Production, an after-school activity dedicated to making kids improve their ability to speak Spanish, making a movie entirely in Spanish, as part of the DCPS program for Elementary schools in the DC area, with eight films so far.

He has resumed his skills as a storyteller, writing and directing The Post, a short film awarded in countless film festivals around the globe.
He is currently in the process of writing a feature film called “Implant”, a story about a future around the corner where people are in control of everything.
