Eva Wijers creates drawings and animations in which she analyzes human behavior. Her artistic research focusses on the reflexivity of the medium of animation. Her paper on Emersive Storytelling was published by P3 magazine and presented on Animafest Scanner and at the annual conference of Society of Animation Studies in 2019. Wijers completed the bachelor in Fine Arts in 2008 and graduated cum laude from Animation Master course of AKV StJoost in 2018. She has since than worked in video, illustration and installation art, co-founded artist collective Nox Ludi and founded a children’s cinema and filmworkshop in Rotterdam. Wijers teaches the first years animation/illustration students of AKV StJoost and is guest teacher in the research traject at the Master of Animation.
