Nicole Heetland is an award-winning filmmaker from Denver, Colorado. Her whole life has been a love affair with the arts, but she is drawn to film because it synthesizes writing, visual art, and music – three of her greatest passions. Nicole won national and state awards as a journalist and editor-in-chief for her high school newsmagazine, The Lake. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for storytelling. Her main interest in film lies in writing and production design. As a student filmmaker, she worked as writer, director, executive producer, costume designer, marketing designer, script supervisor, and more. She graduated from the University of Colorado Denver in 2020 with a BFA in Film and Television Production.
