Co-choreographer and dancer: Phyllis Whyte has been a Toronto dancer, choreographer and teacher since 1974, and since 2000, a dance filmmaker, creating Dances for the Camera, and documentaries about Contemporary Canadian choreographers. Currently she is dancing with Tom Brouillette, is involved with Kaeja d'Dance in Moving Connections and Touch X, and does much collaborating on Zoom which includes teaching Improvisation for ballet students in Japan. Ms Whyte has been choreographing and dancing in her and Laurence Siegel’s dance videos since 2009. and promoting dance films with Laurence Siegel, including a showing by the Canadian Museum of Immigration in Halifax. Her most recent film, that she choreographed and danced in is Breath Taking. It was shown at DanceWorks Summer Reel in Toronto and has been seen at festivals across India and in Miami, Cannes and Berlin.
