Ranil Ruwanpathirane is a filmmaker based in Colombo. Ranil works as a Communication Strategist in the field of Advertising and as a personal PR advisor. Being a Diploma Graduate of National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka, he held the chair of Ceylon Society of Cinema, the Alumni Association of NFC Diploma Students in 2019. He is currently working on his research work related to the Executive Masters in Mass Communication at Asia eUniversity and is set to graduate in late 2020. Ranil has written and directed several commercials and Audio-Visual content during his 12-year career in the ad industry. He enjoyed his theater projects in school times and has been an actor and a music composer for many school theater productions which were appreciated at the national level. His future goal is to emerge as a feature film director while maintaining his short film career in parallel to the same.
