As the Film Programming Manager at the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, Shellie Schmals works with over 200 volunteers and 900 film makers within the course of a festival season, and has a 20+ year career working in the non-profit cultural arts sector. With a passion for the arts, she combines her skills as talent wrangler and producer/emcee and is involved in many projects including Roxie Roz, Small Secret Things, and #TheABCDShow; she is a proud member of the Georgia Pinup Posse and Women in Film & Television Atlanta, where Shellie sits on the Board of Directors as Secretary, and co-chairs the annual Short Film Showcase.
Shellie earned her BA in History + Government at Daemen College (Amherst, NY), EdM in University Administration at University at Buffalo (Buffalo, NY) and her MBA at Brenau University (Atlanta, GA). In 2011, she was named one of the “50 Most Creative Atlantans” by CommonCreativ Magazine.
