My name is Romina Quiroz, I am 39 years old and I ́m a producer and audiovisual director. I was born in Mexico City on September 12, 1983. I have a degree in Communication from the Universidad de las Americas Puebla (UDLAP)

In 2008 I opened a production company by the name of Klepka Producciones, which has been opened for 6 years making independent projects and offering audiovisual services. I have directed and produced many documentaries, from which Bravo (Brave) and Paso Firme (Step firm) stand out.

I have also co-produced the documentaries Viviendo la Meditación (Living Meditation), official selection in the Crown Heights Film Festival (2014) Families Like Mine, official selection in the International Film Festival of Puebla (FICP 2013), in the Tenth International Exhibition of Women in Movies and Television (2013) Mexico City, the Medina del Campo Film Festival Valladolid, Spain (2014) and Lifeline official selection in the Seattle Film Festival (2013) directed by Louisa Merino.

I directed my first short film Aire (Air) made in stop motion, it has been selected for the Golden Orchid International Animation Festival (2013) Pennsylvania, USA, in the XI International Festival of Animation Arts “Multivision” (2013) in Saint Petersburg, Russia, the first Short Film Festival “Shorty Week” (2014) in the Puerto de Santa María, Cadiz, Spain, II Aguascalientes International Film Festival in Mexico, 18th Avanca International Film Festival in Portugal, II International Fantastic Film Festival in Granada, Spain, 11th Naoussa International Film Festival in Greece and VI Curta Neblina Latin American Film Festival in Sao Paulo, Brasil.

In 2015 I directed my second short film “Emma”, it has been selected for the Girona International Film Festival 2015 España, Kolkata International Short Film Festival 2015, India (special mention) , Bombay International Short Film Festival 2015, India (special mention) and Shorts Mexico International Short Film Festival 2015.

In 2016 and 2017 I directed two more short films “Van Gogh” and “Upper”. With my production team we have done coverage for the following festivals: (GIFF) Guanajuato International Film Festival – Making of Collegiate Production Rally 2013, Aguascalientes International Film Festival (FICA) – Making of 2011, Ambulante documentary tour Puebla – Making of (2011, 2012 and 2013)

I was a teacher in the School of Jurisprudence and Human Sciences teaching the courses of Communication and Languages. Currently I am studying my second degree in translation and interpretation of modern languages that includes knowing 7 languages: Spanish, English, French, Russian, German, Italian and Portuguese.

I have also taken the following courses: Basic and advanced post-production workshop in Final Cut Pro in RO75 Training, Product Placement Workshop, The certificates in feature film and short film production taught by José Antonio Takano in the Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla. (UPAEP), the certificate in Social management for organizations of the civil society taught by Fundación Merced in the Universidad de las Américas Puebla (UDLAP), Special course of social and economic problems in Russia modern, special course of history and Russian culture and Russian language in Academy of Labor & Social Relations in Moscow, Russia.
