Sergei started his career in 1990s in the genre of documentary film production in Moldova (former USSR), then continued his education at the American Film Institute (AFI) in Los Angeles. His credits include To Each His Own Cinema, The Closer and Childhood. His short film Sweet Dreams, was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and then screened at more than fifty international film festivals. To Each His Own Cinema was released at the Cannes Film Festival.
