At the same time, BIFF has opened the application process for the role of film festival director. The 29th edition of BIFF is scheduled for October 2-11, with ACFM taking place from October 5-8. Ellen Y. D. Kim is taking the helm of the Busan Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) for a four-year term starting March 8th. This is a homecoming of sorts for Kim, who previously worked at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) in the 1990s and even helped launch the ACFM in 2006. Beyond her management experience, Kim brings a strong background in film production, having produced arthouse films like "Cry Woman" and "Sewing Sisters."

Kim has developed a strong network and a thorough knowledge of film market dynamics and the content sector. Initiatives like film expert governance for the Asian film industry and a platform devoted to exhibiting cutting-edge technologies and content are part of her vision for ACFM, the organization said in a statement. ACFM offers a unique platform:

Whether you're a seasoned film professional or just starting out, ACFM 2024 is the place to be. Don't miss this opportunity to connect, collaborate, and propel your content to new heights!
