Biography

Rahil Malgaonkar is a filmmaker and actor from Goa, India. His journey in cinema began through the Indian Film Project (IFP), which opened the doors to professional filmmaking and acting opportunities.
He worked as a production assistant and appeared in the short film A Cold Summer Night, directed by Yash Sawant, which was showcased at the prestigious Locarno Film Festival. Over the years, Rahil has acted in several short films, including Autique and Un-Daata by Prasad Naik, Issabella's Fish Curry, which premiered on Zee Marathi, and Yellow by Abizher. He also played a prominent role in the Konkani feature film Tu Maje.
In 2024, Rahil made his directorial debut with Murder???, a short film that he wrote, directed, and acted in. The film earned him the Best Goan Writer (Screenplay) award at the 11th Goa Short Film Festival and was officially selected for the Kalakari Film Festival, Honor Film Festival, Jagran Film Festival, and the Kerala Short Film Festival. The film was screened at INOX C-21 Mall in Indore and Rajnish Cineplex in Darbhanga as part of the Jagran Film Festival.
Currently, Rahil is involved in an independent feature film being shot in Kerala while continuing to develop and explore new stories as a filmmaker and performer. Beyond cinema, he is an avid cricket enthusiast and runs Malson Shoes, a footwear business based in Panjim, Goa.
