Janaka Ruwan Ambalampitiya is currently working as a visual arts teacher and has a passion for film directing and production. He completed his first degree in 2012. At the University of Visual and Performing Arts, Colombo 7. Worked as an external lecturer in the same university for several years. Also studied archeology for post-graduation. An archeologist as well as a watercolorist. He has produced a series of documentary programs for visual artists in Sri Lanka with the theme 'Behind the visual'. 'System' is his first short film. He has directed two more films called 'How much' and 'Far from home'. New to short film production and direction but aspires to go a long way in filmmaking.
