Ayan Acharyya is a motion graphics artist, ad filmmaker, director, screenwriter & 3D artist. He began his creative career in television in 2004 as a motion graphics compositor.

Ayan was born into a middle-class Bengali family in Shantipur, Nadia. His father, Amar Acharyya is a doctor and mother Dolly Acharyya is a big fan of literature and Ayan grew up in a creative environment.

Inspired by Jurasic park movie he attended Aptech Animation to learn film animation and vfx, spending part of his life in Kolkata.
Although Ayan was admitted to Shantipur College, but he quit it after some time to pursue his creative career.

During his third semester in Aptech Animation he got selected for a compositor job in Ramoji Film City, Hydearabad. After that he worked with several creative companies all over India.

After he got married with Sumita Acharyya in 2008 he wanted to work independently and since 2008 he worked on 350+ creative projects and delivered to numerous clients around the world.

As a independent filmmaker Ayan was the part of every stages of the "Selfie" film production.He is the Screenplay writer, Director, Set designer, Lighting artist, Editor and the Colorist of the film "Selfie"
