Biography
BEN TAMAN (He/Him) is a trans film director originally from Eau Claire, WI, now living and working in Los Angeles after a decade in Minneapolis. As a trans man with schizophrenia, he finds it easier to embrace the weirdness of life rather than fight against it. Strange, a bit warped, a little off—classic Ben.
His work has been supported by the Minnesota Regional Arts Council (MRAC), St. Paul Neighborhood Network (SPNN), and the Minnesota State Arts Board, with his latest documentary Do You Think I’m Weird? selected for the 2025 Gotham Week Project Market.
His short film Seeing Each Other, Seeing Things will have its World Premiere at the 21st Tucson Film Festival (2025) & East Coast Premiere at YoFi Fest (2025).
