BiographyEdris Caige is an award-winning screenwriter whose work explores complex characters, power, identity, loyalty, and the consequences of difficult choices. Her feature screenplay Lupae has earned multiple awards and festival recognitions, including Best Feature Script. Her screenplays include Lupae and Madrina, character-driven features centered on complicated women and stories that resist easy answers.
I’m interested in the choices people make when loyalty, power, identity, and survival collide. I write character-driven stories about complicated people-especially women-who are neither easily explained nor neatly categorized. I’m drawn to moral ambiguity, unexpected relationships, sharp dialogue, and the tension between who people are expected to be and who they become when those expectations fall away. I want my screenplays to leave room for the audience to wrestle with the characters rather than tell them what to think.
