Personal and Career information:
Khandoker Md Taj Biul Hasan is a filmmaker , Cinematographer and Researcher. He was born in Dhaka , Bangladesh . He obtained his B.Sc. (Hon’s) in Zoology and M.Sc. degree in Fisheries from The University of Dhaka, Bangladesh .Due to his fascination with audio-visual media; he adopted this profession and subsequently completed his Diploma in Photography (Dhaka) and Diploma in Filmmaking (New Delhi). In 1992 Mr. Hasan joined the Film & Publication Dept.(DFP) of Bangladesh. Later on switched over to Bangladesh Open University (BOU) as an Educational Program Director/Producer and continued his service there until his self-retirement in 2011. After leaving Govt. service, he joined as the Head of Audio-visual division of Drik Picture Library Ltd. the country’s most renowned audio-visual production providing organization. Now he is attached with ‘Dhrupad Communication’ as an honorary media consultant. He loves to work on Environment, Human rights & Human development issues. He also completed professional training from BBC(UK), BFDC(Dhaka), CENDIT(New Delhi), CEMCA (New Delhi) ,Deutsch Welle Television Training Centre (Berlin), DUPS(Dhaka), NIMC(Dhaka), STOU (Bangkok) and NHK(Tokyo) respectively. He began his career as a Cine-cameraman and has since become a complete Film-maker. So far made 85 educational TV programs, 23 documentaries & 03 TV fictions and received 17 impressive International awards for filmmaking. Above all he created a historic record by winning three times, the most prestigious ‘The National Federation of UNESCO Japan Prize’ for his three educational films as well as the Tokyo Docs (Color of Asia) Award. Being a researcher; Mr. Hasan presented papers in the 18 international media events till June 2024 and has publication in the reputed international journals. He also has teaching experience in the Department of Film-Television and Digital Media (FDTM) at Green University of Bangladesh, Biological Science Faculty of Dhaka University, IAFM-International Academy of Film and Media , Bangladesh Short Film Forum etc. He has visited many countries in Asia, Europe, Africa and Russia for professional reasons.

*Three times UNESCO Japan Prize Award Winner [2007, 2010 & 2013]
*Tokyo Docs (Color of Asia) Award winner 2019.

Recent achievement:
Honorary Ambassador of Big Syn Institute ,London ,UK.
