BiographyJohn Bombay Gutierrez is a filmmaker with a storyteller’s soul, fueled by love, heartbreak, and an unshakable determination to bring authentic human experiences to the screen. In 2019, he arrived in Los Angeles with just $100 and a dream, quickly carving out a space for himself as a producer, writer, and director. As the founder of West America Film Company, he has produced three feature films, along with a slate of short films, documentaries, and music videos. His journey has taken him across the globe, from pioneering an American-Laotian co-production to spearheading the ambitious WAFC 20s Collection—a cinematic universe of interconnected films capturing the spirit of this decade. Through it all, John remains relentless in his pursuit of storytelling, proving that passion, grit, and resilience can turn dreams into reality.
