Manish Tiwary has studied at Delhi, Cambridge (UK) and Yale (USA) universities. He has worked for the United Nations in Rome. He produced and directed two feature documentary films (Lo Manthang, and Ramngar) and several short films that have been shown around the world in film festivals public screenings.

Manish Tiwary debuted as a feature film Director with the critically acclaimed ‘Dil Dosti Etc’, starring Sheryas Talpade and Imaad shah and produced by Prakash Jha. His second film Issaq, an adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet based in Banaras, starring Prateik and a troupe of well-known ensemble cast was released in 2013.

Presently, he is working on various projects, one of which is a satirical rom-com, called Mohabbat Miyan.
