Marcos Sanzano is a photographer and filmmaker born in the northern part of Córdoba, in the city of Deán Funes. From a young age, he developed a passion for photography, cinema, and travel. He holds a degree in Film and Television and a Technical Production degree in Audiovisual Media from the National University of Córdoba.
In 2013, he received a scholarship to study at the University of Texas in the United States. There, he worked at KLRU TV on the Emmy-winning program "Arts in Context" for PBS. Additionally, he studied advanced editing with Christopher Roldan, the editor of "The Tree of Life" and "To the Wonder."
In 2017, he participated in the film "Rojo," starring Darío Grandinetti, where he worked as a production assistant and still photographer. He was also part of the photography team for the telefilm "KM674, Voltear Obregón."
In 2020, Marcos achieved a significant milestone by completing his first feature-length documentary, "Soñando Martín." The documentary garnered attention and recognition, being selected for prestigious film festivals such as the Lift-Off Global Network-New York 2021 and the Córdoba Film Festival. The film had a successful theatrical release across Argentina, including at the renowned Gaumont Theatre in Buenos Aires. Additionally, it received official recognition from the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Argentine Nation for its outstanding contribution.
In 2022, he was awarded "Outstanding Young Person of the Year" in the Province of Córdoba in the Culture category.
