Soumyojit Modak is an independent filmmaker and cinematographer based in Kolkata, West Bengal. He is the founder of DSF Films, a production house focused on visually driven, emotionally resonant storytelling. With a background in street photography and a strong command over mood and tone, Soumyojit’s work often explores themes of memory, grief, and the emotional weight of human relationships. His visual language is rooted in realism, yet layered with poetic undertones. Tui Nei is his most personal project to date — a psychological drama shaped by silence, loss, and unresolved trauma.
“I don’t just make films — I translate pain, poetry, and people into visuals.”
