Biography
Moses Ipadeola is a Nigerian indie filmmaker, writer, and visual artist whose work blends African traditions with contemporary storytelling. Passionate about cultural preservation and innovation, he draws inspiration from folklore, music, and shared human experiences. His films explore identity, memory, and resilience, bringing African voices to a global audience.
A grant recipient of the inaugural British Council Film Lab Africa, he produced the award-winning short “Ekún Ìyàwó: A Tale of a Runaway Bride”. The film premiered at Film Africa Festival in London, screened at Barbados Indie Film Festival, had its European premiere at Nollywood NOW Film Festival in Paris, and its U.S. premiere in Los Angeles through Afrikaan Productions’ “Six Resilient Women” showcase. It also received a special invitation to Noir Fest, Harvard/Yale.
