Yusuf Bhaimia

Yusuf Bhaimia is a London-based British Indian director, actor and filmmaker whose work focuses on the characters past and how their psychology develops within the story’s given circumstances that is presented to the audience. After graduating from The University of Bolton with a Media, Writing and Productions degree, and holding an Acting diploma from the Stella Adler Art of Acting School in Los Angeles, Yusuf began his career as a professional actor, being in several plays, short films and commercials.

Overtime, this led his creative passion into screenwriting and filmmaking, where he has directed several small narrative and non-narrative projects. His films often explores the inner strength of women and the vulnerabilities of men, and how they handle a world that is full of corruption, lies and deception. In addition, he dives deep into their psychology through their backstory, showing the audience how one character can become who they are based on their personal history.

His horror short film, What’s Downstairs? and horror crime thriller web series, Blood Inc. will be his first official directorial debut that will be presented to a wide audience.
