The Indus River International Cinefest is a film festival with live screening originated in Himachal Pradesh, India. This festival is initiated with a perspective to support and uplift talented filmmakers who can showcase their best creative works through IRIC that is designed for the promotion of local, regional, and international short films. This festival believes in creating better opportunities for indie filmmakers so that their works get screened, judged, and recognized. This festival is run by a group of Cinephiles and they believe in the potential of the public can become a significant factor in the development of the process of filmmaking and thus engaging them in discovering the potential of the online to cinematic culture is what they aim for.
This festival awards the contestants in a lot of exciting categories; Best drone film, Best mobile film, Best women film, Best film on disability issues are some of them. An IRIC laurel and certificate are provided to each officially selected project in every season. Laurels and customized certificates are also provided to every seasonal winner.
