Babul Films is a registered non-profit that spreads awareness about Environmental issues using social media and short films.

BEFF – 4th Babul Eco Film Fest is an annual International Environment Film Festival that happens in June at Hyderabad followed by travel editions elsewhere. BEFF #babulecofest20 has two components

[1] Short Film Contest of less than 5 min duration. The Topic for BEFF2020 is PLASTIC POLLUTION Win Prizes worth Rs.50,000/-

[2] Screen Eco Film Non-competitive screening section that showcases critically acclaimed global eco films.

Short Film Contest- Plastic Pollutuion

As part of Babul film festival BEFF 2020, we are conducting Short Film Contest on the topic of Plastic Pollution.
Submission for 4th BEFF Short Film Contest is open. Last date for submission is 17 May 2020.

Short films below 5 mins on the topic of PLASTIC POLLUTION in all genres are welcome. Films should cover one or more aspects of Plastic Pollution – Single Use Plastics, the problem of Plastics, Solutions, legislation and implementation around Plastics, the technical issues, campaigns and movements, activism, People/ Organizations involved etc., [This is only indication non-inclusive list] . All genres are welcome.

Total prize money of Rs.50,000/- will be awarded ( Indian entries).

RULES :
Films should cover one or more aspects of Environment, Biodiversity and Sustainable Development. All genres, including documentaries, narratives, shorts, children’s films, and experimental films, PSAs are all welcome and will be given equal consideration. The quality of the film production will also be considered and weighed. Animation includes: traditional animation, 2D animation, 3D animation, motion graphics, and stop motion
Film run-time: All durations accepted.
Format: MP4 / AVI / MOV
Films shot on mobile are also accepted
Non-English films should have English Subtitles
Win Laurels, get a screening certificate and recognition.

The jury for pre and final selection of film for 4th BEFF 2020 consist of personalities from the world of environment, media, movies, and audio-visual, as well as entrepreneurs or artists engaged in and/or sensitive to environmental issues. Decision of the organizers regarding film selection is final.

By submitting their films, the filmmakers agree that BEFF can screen the films at different venues as part of the travelling BEFF festival.
