ABOUT DICFF
Dhaka International Cultural Film Festival is a live screening film festival, in Bangladesh. Every month films from the different categories are officially selected and out of them, at least one per category is awarded. All these monthly winners are automatically qualified for the annual live screening gala and may get nominated for the prestigious GOLDEN TIGER AWARDS (the best of the best). The participants get excellent opportunities to exchange their ideas, ideologies and cultural diversities through screening, interview sessions and panel discussions.

VISION OF DICFF
Apart from its colourful history and rich cultural traditions, Bangladesh has also emerged as a prime place for film production. Our vision is to present a global platform for budding talents and support independent filmmakers to showcase their creativity and give recognition to them in front of a global audience.

What Makes Us Different
1. REVIEW AND PROMOTION: We provide reviews on each and every submission which is posted on our social media pages; with the target of promoting the creativity of indie filmmakers.

2. SCORE AND DETAILED REVIEW BY HONORABLE CRITICS: We provide the rating of the film along with a detailed review as scores written by the honourable critic. This will help to enhance the promotion of films and develop a Wikipedia page in future.

3. TROPHY AND CERTIFICATE: Along with scores we have kept a prestigious trophy and certificate for all the winners.

4. INTERVIEW: Winners will get the chance to give a special interview which will be conducted by the esteemed portal Cult Critic.

5. PROMOTION: Special promotional posts for the winners on social media pages.

6. DISTRIBUTION AND MONETIZING: In collaboration with CANVAS, Winners will get the chance to monetize their project by either streaming their film on CANVAS ADS (where you can earn revenue by generating more views on your film) or CANVAS ON DEMAND ( where the viewer has to pay a certain amount to watch your film) and we will especially promote that film.

By submitting your film into competition in the DHAKA INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL FILM FESTIVAL (DICFF), you acknowledge and agree that you shall be bound by the terms of these Rules & Terms.

DICFF is open to any film regardless of its content, subject, or origin. Submitting your film to the TIFF is not a guarantee of selection. All the official selection, nominees and winners will be listed on our website permanently. All the winning films will receive a certificate and trophy. Please note that we do not offer application fee waivers. We treat every filmmaker equally.

1. Films made in languages other than English must have English subtitles otherwise they will be summarily rejected.
2. The film submitted to the DICFF for a particular month can be re-submitted at any time for a second chance, considering that we have different judges' panels for each season.
3. A director/producer may submit more than one film in a category and more than one category at a time.
4. The DICFF is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted for promotional purposes of the festival. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements, rules and regulations.
5. The DICFF reserves the right to refuse entries.
6. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the DICFF, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits and publicity.
7. The DICFF will not refund any fees if the filmmaker fails to submit the film in the correct category. Films submitted without the correct fees or proper submission media may be deemed ineligible at the discretion of the DICFF programming director or executive director. The festival does not cover any of the expenses incurred by the filmmaker.
8. After a film has been an official selection, the filmmaker will be notified, and eventually the film will be listed on the festival website under Official Selections. The Official Selection status doesn’t mean that your film will be screened at the festival. It means that your film has been appreciated by our judges of the panel and you can use the festival logo on your poster.
9. A nominee will be privately screened for the DICFF judging panel, and will not be screened initially to the public.
10. Best films of each category will receive a laurel & certificate.
