The Make Art Not Fear Internacional Film Festival aims to bring independent cinema to the foreground while supporting emerging filmmakers from all walks of life.

Taking place since 2023 in the beloved place Gato Vadio, Cinestesya has become a yearly meeting point for cinephiles, filmmakers and industry professionals. Attracting a young audience of Porto and foreigners.

Films run the gamut of genres from fiction films and documentaries to music videos and animated movies. We welcome all filmmakers whether experienced or beginners to show us their artwork and become part of our diverse screening programme.

The Make Art Not Fear Internacional Film Festival is organised by Ramaldar Productions, a pioneer organisation that runs Film Festivals and other events showcasing and championing ideas of diversity. Through our global series of film Festivals we open the path to voices with a compelling story to share. Our main mission is to honour independent cinema and establish a network of artists eager to join forces and spread their work across all nations.

All selected films are rewarded with certificates. Winwers obtain trophies.

Rules and Terms

1- In order to submit a film, you must own the rights or have permission from the owner.

2- The Festival relationship will exclusively be related to the film submitter.

3- Any Foreign film that is not in English must have English subtitles.

4- All fees are non-refundable.

5 - Not all the submissions are selected for the official competition. Our Judges are free to make their own choices and no answers will be given about not selected films.

6 - We can consider any film to be disqualified if the festival considers the content inappropriate. If you have any question regarding this decision you might contact us at our email address [email protected]

7 - The applicants (submitters) must accept Rules and Terms.

8 - Submitting your movie, you authorize to use, distribute and share the film poster, trailer, synopsis and movie stills in our social media.

9 - Maximum length allowed is 30 minutes.

10- All films can have their certificate.
